ABOUT | stephanie
I grew up in a small town where jumping on a friend's trampoline involved running hastily through a two acre field of razor sharp corn husks. I naturally turned to art.
My love for fashion and illustration was evident throughout my childhood. Whether I was painting the walls of my bedroom while talking on the phone with friends or designing prom dresses for classmates during Mrs. Bowen's 3rd period Spanish class, I always had the need to create.
I studied Textiles and Apparel at The University of Texas at Austin where my love affair with fashion illustration and art blossomed. After school, I experimented with apparel and jewelry design, hand crafting one of a kind pieces that were sold in upscale boutiques in Austin and even landed a cover photo in Tribeza Magazine. In 2010, I began mentoring and working closely with Isabella Rose Taylor and played a behind the scenes role in helping the company go from fashion startup to nationally recognized brand carried in Nordstrom stores across the country. In 2015, I left Isabella Rose Taylor to pursue freelance illustration and design work full time.
Since then I have created one of a kind artwork for world renowned companies and began instructing others on how to find their own personal illustration style through a series of workshops at The University of Texas at Austin, The University of North Texas and locally at Austin Community College.
